Martin Luther King had a dream to share with everyone, and Chiquita Hall-Jackson has a T-shirt to share with you. The Managing Partner of her own crusading law firm that specializes in workplace fairness, anti- discrimination and anti-harassment on the job operates according to an ethic that is part legal energy and part good old-fashioned idealism.

Worker protections only cover about 20 million of the 80 million individuals employed in the United States economy’s private sector, leaving the other 60 million vulnerable to unfair treatment in the workplace.

The t-shirt says in colorful words: “See something. Say something. Blow the whistle on discrimination and harassment.” The shirts are being distributed in Chicago churches, and soon will be made widely available to celebrate Martin Luther King Day on January 16, as well as Black History Month in February.

Ms. Hall and her team know from daily experience in the increasingly active area of workplace discrimination that many employees are living with unfair treatment based on diversity issues. Hall-Jackson has worked with nearly two dozen clients in the last two years to help them seek justice against their workplaces. Their clients hail from a variety of backgrounds and industries in both the private and public sector, and Hall-Jackson believes every individual has the right to seek justice and not have to suffer in silence.
